So what all did you end up with? I know everyone from Canada says the used market is poor. I have a feeling they'll sell everything they have.

Yeah, no leg press/hack squat, cable crossover, olympic plates, cheap dumbells... But we have a ****load of used Weider, and low grade York equipment like this:

Omg, exactly! Those machines pop up almost EVERY DAY...along with cheap Walmart-like benches. I wouldn't say Olympic plates are too much of a problem though. Well, actually, you don't find them sold by themselves. It usually comes with the bench and weight tree and whatever accessories. I usually just buy the whole set and sell what I don't need and make money from it!

In the few years I've been eyeing Craigslist I've seen 3-4. 2 have been full commercial and the ohters have been combo leg press/hack squats. I find most of Toronto's auctions are for cheap cardio equipment, older brand name cardio, or older multi gyms. Good buys are scooped quickly. I saw an Airdyne listed last month for $200. I emailed about 45 minutes after it was posted and got a reply that I was 3rd in line, and that if the other buyers fell through he'd give me a shout.

Remember, that's in Toronto...Canada's equivalent of New York City
